The Hunt - Twitter Treasure Hunt

So just like my previous post has shown, I don't just do programming projects all the time.

I'm a big fan of puzzlehunts. The MIT Mystery Hunt is one of the bigger events in a puzzler's calendar, and has been going strong for over 30 years! But the first time I ever got involved in a public treasure hunt was back in 2009 when a guy from Wellington who got dumped by his girlfriend decided to hold a treasure hunt to give the ring away. It was an event that even made international headlines, and being the gamesmaster was something I aspired to do myself.

Aotea Travel Guide

So as promised for this year, I want to show what I've been working on during 2014.

First up, I don't just do programming for fun in my spare time (for fun?!). I occasionally write things too; I admit I'm not the best creative writer (I think that's a left-brain, right-brain thing), as I base most things I write about on real-life events or places. This project was no exception.

Over seven months (off-and-on, mind) and 12,000 words went into this one! I'm happy with the result I managed to come up with, and technically I can always come back to it later and add more things (more on that in a bit).

Update for 2015

Happy New Year!
How long has it been? Like, 22 months? Yikes. So much for keeping this blog alive...
But seriously though, I'm still alive myself... and this year, I'm as motivated as ever to collect my programming and otherwise creative experience into one place.
And that means both past and future project endeavours, both digital and physical. (Physical? Yes. That's something for later.)
I plan to also include projects that are still in the idea phase. It's no guarantee that I'd ever pick them back up again, but perhaps putting ideas into cyberspace might spark inspiration elsewhere.

[Untitled RPG] - Update 2

Hello all! Hope you've been enjoying the new year so far... two months down already, even.

So just to prove I haven't ditched this blog already after only two posts, I've come back to give an update on the "Untitled RPG" project.

My laptop has been at the mechanic over December/January, but now that its back I've been more than excited to get back into coding.

For those just joining us, here's the idea:

[Untitled RPG] - Work In Progress

Hello all!

So I figured that having a blog with just one post is a little lame, so here's the solution... do a second post.

Like I said before, this blog is all about showcasing the random stuff that makes it out of the hangar that is my mind and takes off into what is not known as the sky that is software development.

Here's the current project I'm working on.
